The Rockefeller Foundation celebrates its centennial in 2013. The Foundation and its Centennial partner, Teneo Strategy, have hired Vantage Point to develop a series of six books that explore lessons learned over the course of the Foundation’s history. The first of these six books, Beyond Charity: A Century of Philanthropic Innovation, written by Eric John Abrahamson, has just been released as a PDF on the Rockefeller Foundation’s Centennial website. In a series of essays focused on abiding issues that face all foundations, the book explores the evolution of the Rockefeller Foundation’s philanthropic practice. Hard copies of the book will be released in late March and will be available from the Rockefeller Foundation.
