Paid Summer Internship: May–September, 2017
Vantage Point Historical Services, Inc. seeks a skilled, energetic, and motivated intern for the summer of 2017. This position may be part-time or full-time, depending on the candidate’s schedule. We are looking for a college student or new graduate to help us continue to harness the histories of people, communities, businesses, and organizations of all kinds and put their pasts to work.
At minimum, candidates should be college students majoring in history, political science, English, communications, or another program that emphasizes critical thinking, research, and writing. Candidates must demonstrate strong research and writing skills and be able to work independently and communicate effectively in person and in writing with clients and Vantage Point staff.
Pay: Compensation for this hourly position will be determined based upon the candidate’s credentials, qualifications, and experience, but starts at $12 hour.

Contributing Historian
Vantage Point Historical Services, Inc. seeks to expand our team of motivated and experienced public historians. Rather than offer a specific job description, we are setting forth a call for a skilled, energetic, and creative individual for whom we can build an internship, a part-time, or a full-time position that will help us continue to harness the histories of people, communities, businesses, and organizations of all kinds and put their pasts to work.
At minimum, candidates should hold a master’s degree in history or public history and demonstrate a proven ability to research and write history for a variety of audiences and in different mediums in a timely fashion. Candidates must be able to master diverse fields of study, communicate effectively in person and in writing with clients and fellow staff, and work independently to organize and execute several projects at once.
Salary: This position offers competitive compensation and productivity incentives, including retirement benefits for eligible, full-time employees. Compensation for this position will be determined based upon the candidate’s credentials, qualifications, and experience.
