Digging Deeper Explores Use of Primary Sources

 


bhkn_logo high resWith support from Library of Congress, the South Dakota State Library hosts “Digging Deeper into Primary Sources,” a day-long conference for students, teachers and others interested in exploring archival materials. The webinar takes place on March 6, 2015.
Eric John Abrahamson, in his capacity as volunteer project director of the Black Hills Knowledge Network, will present with Rapid City Public Librarian Samantha Slocum at 3pm Central/2pm Mountain. Abrahamson and Slocum will talk about “Community Archives, Community Identity: The Role of Primary Sources in Reinforcing Attachments to Place.”
The Black Hills Knowledge Network is an innovative nonprofit online regional information service that aggregates and organizes news and information, along with data and statistics. The project is also working with thirteen public libraries and communities to build a digital online archive in Biblioboard.
